a demined field, a rat, a leftover of the apocalypse,
an immigrant, a visionary, the past, the unconnected,
a need for food, for shelter, scraps of capitalism,
radical, a ghost, unwelcome, data,
not produced, in sane, outer space, a million nerve cells,
someone's child, a worker, waged, away from home
or homeless, an experiment,
a trip, a familiar face, a comrade, resilient and restless,
homesick, a hustler, a narrative, storied, a queer,
an animal, the truth, a piece of amerikan dream,
a cake, unnecessarily sweet, full of memories, calculations,
worries galore,
a curse, a cue, an underground creature,
a straphanger, sleepless, a chain,
chained, chaos contained
a worn out cloth, broken glass, a star, bitter taste
